    Indispensable Communication Tools

I can't tell you how many times I've failed to get my message across to my employees. I always thought they never listened. It never occurred to me that it mas my style of communication that needed to change. Fadem's book is excellent. It gave me communication tools that I've badly needed for a long time. I'm getting 110% more out of my employees than I ever did before by employing the tips and advice given here. If you're a manager of any kind, you can't afford not to have this book.

    Very current and informative

This was written as a manual for having effective management meeting conversations, but easily translates into everyday life. This book helps to formulate questions to actually FIND answers. It also points out how the way questions are asked can be identified as truly looking for an answer, just wanting agreement, posturing to look more important, leading questions that can only have one answer (correct or not). There is much depth and information for people truly wanting to be more successful -- in business or in life. A lot of good common sense approaches are explained. This book was a find! I wish I had read it BEFORE I retired from years in management positions. Ha

    more from this reviewer

    Filled a Gap!!

The competency of asking the right questions has continued to appear on my annual performance review. I searched through several books on the topic and this one was the most helpful. The only thing that I would have changed would be the layout -- did not flow between chapters very well; choppy.
