    What a wonderful book!

I have just been shattered by a relationship gone sour. I was in the bookstore looking for something to read that might lift my spirits when I found this book. It has been amazing. I wish I had read this years ago. I will always keep it close by and refer to it often.

    Incredible

I unfortunantely havent finished this book yet. But wow, such an incredibly thoughtful book. Im an agnostic, so the religious excerpts didnt do much for me. But those aside, this book has made me rethink the way i feel about myself and others. True compassion and happiness comes from within and Fromm lays down a framework to succeed and bear fruit from these areas of you life. I feel like a better person just from reading his words. Probably the top book i have read thus far. A must buy.

    INSIGHTFULL

This book is packed with amazing information about love not just in relationships, but in life everywhere. Fromm packs as much information into these 100 or so pages as possible.

    Couldn't Put it Down

I had to read this book for my Humanistic Psychology class, and kept putting off reading it until three days before we were due to discuss it. So reluctantly I picked it up and couldn't put it down, and even re-read it! This book gives insight into so many different aspects of life. Even if your not sure you will enjoy this book, everyone can learn SOMETHING from Erich Fromm.

Good things come in small packages

Profound is a word that applies to every paragraph of this book. Though it was written 50 years ago, its applicability to today's society and to modern readers seems greater than it did when i read it for the first time over 20 years ago. It changed my relatedness to others and has had a correspondingly positive impact on my life.
