    Arthur Writes a Story

Arthur Writes a Story by Marc Brown is a very exciting and funny book for young children. It really relates to young children in their lives. Although it is funny, it also teaches a lesson. It tells young children to believe in what they think is the right thing, and not always listen to what other people might say. Arthur goes through a major conflict, but by the end of the story, he solves everything. Arthur¿s teacher assigns the class to write a story that is important to them. He runs home right from school, knowing exactly what to write. He decides to write about how he had to show his parents that he was responsible enough to have a dog. The problem is that when he reads his story to all his friends, they all tell him to change it. Arthur makes so many changes that by the time the story is due, it is really bad. Then, Arthur reads his original story, and everyone loves it. So he receives a medal for the best story. This story is perfect for 6-8 year olds because one doesn¿t have to know how to read expertly, to be able to enjoy this tale. The illustrations by Marc Brown are great too; they tie in perfectly with the story line. All young children will love this story and cherish its morals.

    Our Thoughts of Arthur Books

By: Kamil Miller and Willie Mc Dowell Arthur Writes a Story Arthur Writes a Story by Marc Brown is a very interesting book with colorful pictures that show lots of detail. It¿s a book about Arthur being assigned to write a story about anything. You know his thoughts were wild. The funniest part of the book was when Arthur does a dance that goes with his story and his parents look at him crazy. We like Arthur Writes a Story because it was a popular series. When you read this book you would think Arthur was a confused character. All Arthur characters are very funny. We like all books by Marc Brown because he has very interesting thoughts that make you seem like you are a character in the book. When my partner and I picked up this book we looked at the cover and thought this was a boring book, but when we read the first page and looked at the picture it was great. Arthur has books and cartoons about him. My partner and I decide to read more Arthur books and watch more Arthur cartoons.
