    It took a while to get into the story, but was a well written and interesting book.

    Only mediocre - read when nothing else available

    Rambling and disjointed but characters fairly well developed.

    History and excitement all in one!

    I thoroughly enjoyed this book - the components of history, folk lore, American Indian ritual and a hurricane! I grew up on the coast and could see every description clearly. Hated for the story to end.
