    A Must-Have For Professional Artists

Being an artist is one of the toughest professions out there, but if it's truly your passion, then no other career will do. However, in order to create art, you'll need to be able to financially support yourself, and that's where 'The Artist's Guide to Grant Writing' comes in. Author Gigi Rosenberg generously shares her process (and the processes of other professional artists) of successfully applying for grants. Her writing style is clear, accessible, and best of all, encouraging. She breaks down the grant writing process into workable pieces, with anecdotes and exercises that are designed to inspire you. Rosenberg also includes a valuable list of grant sources, many of which would be difficult to locate on your own. Grant writing may seem like an overwhelming task (as does defining the value of your artwork), but this book turns it into an opportunity for self-reflection and creative expression.

Get this book and get your funding

Too many artists don't know how to get their projects funded. Gigi Rosenberg takes a very practical approach to grant writing. She teaches you how to set long term goals, how to put a dollar figure on your own labor and how to put together a team of like-minded professionals to create a winning proposal. Rosenberg's voice is warm and reassuring and her advice is spot-on.
