Getting in touch with one's feelings of gratitude is a gift to oneself.

"Attitudes of Gratitude" by M. J. Ryan is a birthday gift received from my husband a few months after suffering a great personal loss. His timing must have been perfect as I was able to take in these simple, yet deep concepts, and allow myself to begin to re-experience my life with some gratitude once again.

The book is very well conceptualized, simply written, presented with deep feeling and emotion. Somehow, I allowed myself to open up with empathy for those whose life stories were shared throughout the book. For some people, like myself, it can be very difficult to be grateful for what you have in the present moment when faced with great loss at the same time. I feel as though I have emerged from a cave and am living my life one moment at a time. My life is different that it was, it can never be the same, but all the same I am in the process of becoming me and feel alive once again ... and with openness and gratitude.

Thank you for this gift of opportuniry to re-experience "Attitudes of Gratitude."

    Attitude is Everything

The author's widely varied expressions of gratitude offer guidance, hope, inspiration and passion where we more often find mental constructs alone. These are stories and warm expressions valued not just after the fact, but as positive expressions of 'magic' attitudes of love daily experienced.
