First of all I want to tell everyone how much I loved this book! See my husband and I love music. We listen to more music throughout the day then anything. I do the weekly meme Tune in Tuesday from Ginger at GReads, and I also have my own weekly post called Glee song of the week....yes I am a gleek and I am proud of it. :) So when a fellow blogger told me about this great book that was about a fictional character that is a music buff, I was like...OH MY I HAVE TO READ IT!!! Then I got it for a bargain! You can't beat that?! So I gave it a chance and oh my was it worth it!

You meet Audrey who is your typically average teenager. She wants to go have fun, see her friends, and enjoy life. But that can't happen. See Audrey was dating this guy and he was in this band. And on the day of a really big concert of his she breaks up with him. To get back at her, he writes a song called Audrey, Wait! It is about there break up. She doesn't even know how to take it. He life starts turning up side down while still being a teenager in high school.
This is probably one of the best books I have read in a really long time. It had everything that you need in a book. Swoon, comedy, fighting, and some suspense. Well you want to know what it going to happen to her next.....lol This book is defiantly a book that I would recommend to any music buff that has a great sense of humor. -

Amazing, Audrey was just like a real teenager.
I defnitely reccommend this for anyone- someone who loves or hates reading. Audrey is a normal teenage girl who breaks up with her boyfriend- until he writes a song about her that becomes famous. Audrey is reluctantly thrown into the spotlight and deals with friends, new boyfriends, rock stars, and her very fat cat. Her voice was genuine and sounded like a real teenager. She seems like someone I would want to be friends with, which I like about a character. She's obsessed with music like me, and her favorite thing to do is listen to mix CDs with her best friend, which shows how normal she is. I definitely think you should read this book!

LOVED IT ?
I've related to all the characters its scary! I liked how there weren't alot of details to explain a point. Even though its your average Girl meets Boy, Girl breaks up with Boy, Boy writes breakup song,(Which all happens in the first chapter) its way more than that.I dont know why anyone would rate this one star! If I set down the book it made me crazy thinking about what would happen next because its easy to picture each scene in your head. If my review doesnt help then read the back cover of it,The whole back is full of reviews the the L.A. Times to famous authors!

OH MY GOSH!!! THIS BOOK IS AMAZING!
From her ex writing a song to making out with a popstar to dating a normal teen, this book is amazing! Robin Benway is my all time fav author! Check out her other book The Extraordinary Secrets of April, May & June. I recommend both books to kids, 12+!

Fun and witty book.
Loved this book. I bought this book on a whim because it had such great reviews on the back, I could not find on the front or back of the book a story plot summary. I was so pleased with how good the book was and wanted to read more. Audery is a sassy main character with a funny best friend, and cute boy in her life. I can't wait for Robin Benway to realse another awsome book.

Uhm...
All the costumer reviews I've seen on this book is good, so I'm sure it's well written.
I put this book down after only a few pages, because I, personally, did not appreciate the sex and drug references and foul language used in just the first chapter.0 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

Who needs to wait for Audrey?
The hilarious novel Audrey, Wait! is a perfect choice for those mature adolescents who love and crave music and high school drama! When Audrey's newly ex-boyfriend writes a song about her, he AND Audrey both become the new celebrities in first their town, then the state and later the nation! Poor Audrey can not even turn on the radio without hearing "Audrey, Wait!" Concerts become crazy parties where paparazzi hide in bushes and school becomes a photo-shoot where everyone is trying to sneak a peek and pic of Audrey and sell it to tabloids! This novel is about teens adjusting to the crazy lives they live and finding who their true friends are. Will they still be your friend after you are known nationally for breaking a rock star's heart? I really like how Robin Benway keeps the lingo recent and helps the younger adolescent audience stay connected. All teenage girls can relate to the "evil girl at school who tires to steal your boyfriends!" However the text does have a downfall. There is more cursing and swearing than I think is appropriate for a book that is available to younger audiences. Not all teenagers can handle the references to sex, partying and cursing without reacting in an immature manner or without becoming offended. Teens should read this because it helps them to try and find the true friends in life who are going to last and will be your friend when you are just yourself, not famous. Overall rating: Is infinite stars an option?

One for the rockstar, two for the ice cream king, and three for the audery who just couldn't wait.- roll with audery on a ride of her life;)
When it all started after audery broke up with her (song writer) boyfriend; she wasn't expecting to hear a song ,he wrote about how he been hurt and she don't stop and hear what he had to say, in front of the entire school.

The song that changed every thing and the brakeup that stated it all was going to haunt her every where she went. paparazzi, internet hackers, and news reporters are her new best firends that she doesnt want to be around.
Along the ride she has to dial with her real best firend, a new relationship and parents fighting to make sence of what has happened all of a sudden. she just hopes, in the end she could go back to the life she once had- thats if there is an end to this madness. -

Audrey, Wait! is the write choice! (pun intended)
So, after browsing at my local book store, I finally found a suitable book to read. I am very much into Chic-Lit, my new fav genre, and this defiantly takes the cake and moved into my top five favorite books. I finished this book within three days. I usually read a book in one to two days so it was a little unusual. I read some other reviews and they mentioned that it went slower for them too. The plot is thrilling and unexpected, a twist in every scene. I thought it was also unpredictable which made the book somewhat mysterious. I reccomend this book to anyone who wants a good, easy book to read. The main character, Audrey was very edgy and was very unique. She is herself the whole time, not trying to be fake and (SPOILER ALERT) when she did the interview with Evan on MTV, it took a lot of courage for her to come out like she did on live television. I know she is a fictional character, but after reading the author's blog, I applaud the meaning behind the teenage theme of the book. I also just wanted to mention that this girl on youtube, imabookworm13, said she was going to do a review on the book. She's done many reviews so if your looking for some more good chic-lit, check her out.

Audrey, hold on for a second, will ya?
I need to clarify. This book is more of 4.5.

Girl meets boy. Girl dates boy. Girl breaks up with boy. Boy writes song about girl. Girl becomes famous.
You know, I really wasn't expecting this novel to be as unique as it was. It could have easily been annoying and cliched, but instead it was fresh and humorous. And when I say humorous, I mean it. This book was laugh-out-loud funny. So I advise you not to read this book in public. We don't want the person sitting next to you on that 5 hour flight to think you are on some new medication.
Audrey was such a refreshing voice. She was witty, vibrant, and confident. I loved her sarcasm and tone. Most authors try to impose personality traits on their two-dimensional characters, but Audrey lived it up. Instead of the author telling me Audrey liked music, she made me believe. This girl goes to concerts, blows out speakers, jams out to mix tapes, and discusses her fave bands. I also like how Audrey isn't obsessive about her appearance or too self-depreciating. Anything we know about her we find out from other characters in passing.
All the rest of the cast was equally enjoyable. I would want to sit at thier table at lunch. Audrey and Victoria(like the Queen) had a very believable friendship, filled with inside jokes and shared interests. I even had a thing for Jonah, who was the perfect best friend's boyfriend. James was adorable (but not in a little brother kind of way) and I wish there were more redheaded love interests out there in bookdom. Even the parents were awesome in their obliviousness and almost-hipitude.
The writing was very, very enjoyable. While some of it seemed over-the-top, it never seemed like Benway was trying too hard. The humor was just effortless. My favorite line would have to be this: "'I'm having a life crisis. Pass me the Teddy Grahams.' He handed over the box. 'All that's left are little paws and legs at the bottom of the box,' he said. 'It's a massacre.'" The writing just rang true for me. And yes, that means there is cussing and sexual/drug references, so if you have a problem with that, then don't read this one.
Overall, a great debut from an author I'm expecting will be a star in the land of YA literature. -

wonderful!
AUdrey wait was surpriseingly very addictive type of book for me. The characters were very developed and the storyline was awesome. You could pick up the emotional vibe Audrey had to go through being followed by all of the paparazi. My character out of all of them in the book was Victoria.

One of my all time favorites!!
I did not expect to enjoy Robin Benway's novel "Audrey Wait" as much as I did. This is now one of my favorite books! I absolutely loved the snappy writing exhibited throughout the whole story. Storyline wise, it was very creative and presented Audrey with a situation not many of us encounter, but Benway still made Audrey completely relatable. To give a brief rundown of the storyline: Audrey broke up with her not-that-great musician boyfriend, Evan. Next thing she knows, Evan rights a song called "Audrey Wait" that everyone loves, and everyone knows is about her. She has fame, the press, and fans thrust upon her, and has to figure out how to live her life. This is not your typical teen book, and that is mostly due to Benway's personality filled writing style. Her clever wording adds so much to the story, and she makes the characters distinctive and honest. I found myself feeling happy/sad along with the characters, and that is the sign of a great writer. I cannot wait for Benway to come out with another novel, because "Audrey Wait" was truly amazing.

This is a book I'll never forget!
I absolutely LOVED Audrey, Wait! I found it off a website, saying it was a good read, so I ordered it and when I recieved it, I thought,''I'll read it, even if it sucks'' but it surely didn't suck!

The author writes from a teenagers' point of view (which includes a lot of swearing, but you can expect that from teenagers), which makes it even more interesting.
The story seems quite ok-ish, a little boring but alright, but in reality it's so much more! It's amazing in every way possible, and I really mean it. The story line is quite boring, but the author really spices it up to worth reading! -
Pure Awesomeness!
I couldn't get enough of this book. When I first got it, honestly, I wasn't sure how it'd turn out. However, I found myself laughing nearly to the point of tears each time I turned the page. Audrey, the main character, is very relatable, and her best friend Victoria reminded me of every one of my friends stuffed into one body. I've already lent the book to a few of my friends and I plan to reread the book within the next few days.

Audrey Rocks!
What do you do when you're 16 and your previously undiscovered musician boyfriend writes a hit song about how you dumped him and now you can't go to school, to work, let alone on a date without the paparazzi or drooling fans dogging your every step? And so begins Audrey as she explains her side of the story on how her ex-boyfriend Evan shot from obscurity to stardom by using their break-up as inspiration for his bands' hit song "Audrey, Wait!". Audrey has always lived and breathed for music - the louder the better - but now that musicians, magazines and even MTV want a piece of her, all Audrey wants is for people not to see her as a fluff-brain teen obsessed with fame.

What has to be the best part of this book hands-down are Robin Benway's descriptions of Audrey's interactions with her friends: her outspoken best friend Victoria, Victoria's chill boyfriend Jonah, and her so-lovable shy and quirky co-worker James. Like Audrey, all three are seriously obsessed with music but each one helps Audrey handle the media attention in importantly different ways. Teenage potty mouths aside, some of their exchanges were frickin' hilarious, making this one heck of a page-turner. Hilarity and friends who are dang good at keeping Audrey sane yet who don't hesitate to call her on her crap. I dare you to try out the first chapter of Audrey, Wait! and see if you're not cracking up just like I was after only a few lines. -
