    BIG DISAPPOINTMENT

I read and loved Moody's HATER series, so I purchased the AUTUMN series expecting the same gripping and fast paced writing. Moody states he now has a publisher, but I think it's done him far bad than good. I have seen this happen before with other authors. It is like the writers are suddenly on a timeline to pop out so many books in x amount of time. I am on the third installment, having paid ten bucks for each one, and feel totally ripped off. The most disappointing aspects of this novel? There is absolutely no character development. There is no hero or heroine to root for. The characters constantly bicker and complain over everything. Parts of the plot are totally unrealistic. Less than two months after most of humanity dies and rises again, the landscape, towns, and buildings are dilapidated and actually falling apart. Come on! Even for a zombie book, buildings do not start decaying and falling apart in two months! There are so many inconsistancies and annoying characters. Characters the reader knows little or nothing about. The fight scenes with the zombies are sometimes pointless, with just a lot of gore like a B rate movie. I would suggest that interested readers skip all in the series except the first and last.

    what happened???

this installment troubled me. i agree with the other reviewer who said this book felt rushed. the characters introduced in this book bothered me. the infighting and constant blundering really made me desperate. i just kept asking myself, "what happened? what the hell is going on here?" i couldn't connect with these characters as much as i did with the characters of the first three books. i kept wondering how moody would somehow bring those characters and these characters together in the last book.

    spoiler alert: he doesn't disappoint.
