A top quality "Must Have" for anyone who enjoys WWII aviation art!

I have acquired an appreciable collection of such works and this one is the best by far. The large format enables reproduction of the smallest details. The many paintings are by top artists in the field. The texts and photos accompanying the many art works provide excellent and informative background. Axis and allied, both theaters, on the ground and in the air-- it's all here. Colors are vivid and images are crisp and clear on quality enameled paper with sturdy binding. This is a "Must have" by any definition, and at a very affordable price. Recommended for collectors generally, and certainly for anyone with an appreciation of fine art detailing World War Two aviation.

    Beautiful Illustrations

Even if you could afford all these wonderful paintings by the best of the WWII aviation artists you would not have the wealth of informative historical captions for each painting. This book, for less than twenty five bucks, is a must-have for anyone interested in the airwar of World War II. The aircrews and the aircraft of the US Army, Navy and Marine Corp are depicted as are those of the enemy. This coffee table size book is a real bargain!
