Unique story with a unique main character

Dr. Adam Karl has several serious problems, and they don't just start with his attempted assassination at the airport. He is a neurologist with a special form of autism that makes it impossible for him to distinguish emotions or recognize faces. The limitation not only hinders him in his investigation into who is trying to kill him but in every part of his life. Aided by seeing-eye actress who translates expressions and body language for him and backed up by a childhood friend/chauffeur, he discovers that both family and friends are involved and that he has a unique destiny. An ending you would never expect wraps up this intriguing tale.

    Undecided

There was so much that i liked and yet so much i didnt like. The coldness of the family, and i truly dont understand some characters, due to no development of the character because they had such little envolvement IN the story yet played a key role. It is worth the time to read, but dont be surprised if you arent blown away. Also i have to throw in that i dont understand this form of autism. I understand that there are many varities of autism, i have a cousin who is autistic, but i had a hard time realistically understanding the main character Adam's form of autism. This may sound terrible and insensitive and i certainly dont mean it to be, but is there really even a type of autism LIKE that? I dont know if the author purposely made Adam hard to relate to because of his autism or he just was hard to like period.
