The texts are written with vocabulary the kids understand but not necessary read because some of them are still starting to. In addition, during the preoperational stage, children become increasingly adept at using symbols, as evidenced by the increase in playing and pretending. So the illustrations of this book really aid the texts to be understood. Moreover, even the pictures can already communicate what¿s the theme of the story all about especially if the children are just starting to acquire comprehension skills. Another good point of this book is the perfect way how each chatacter is illustrated. They have their own identity through different body colors plus their emotions as shown in their faces. It definitely shows the utmost teamwork of the author and the illustrator. In short, one tells or shows what the other is exactly telling about. Generally, this picture book offers appropriateness to preschoolers in terms of theme, contents and illustrations.
