Not a basic chess book
There is no way this book should be written for a back to the basics series. It is at least an intermediate level. A beginner or novice chess player would probably fall fast asleep from boredom with all the analysis. In addition, you could just tell that this a a European author trying very hard to write American English. He tries to be humorous on many occasions but it just makes this small book even more awful to read. If I wasn't so lazy about visiting the local B&N bookstore I'd take this back and ask for a refund. I've read many books, both fiction and nonfiction and this book is near the bottom of readable books. I can only think of one other book that was so dull to read.
