    A hilarious/depressing Jersey romp

An amazingly funny, sometimes touching, and often quite personal series of tales that manage to expertly capture the absurdity of growing up in 1990s New Jersey. Gethard is a natural story-teller with an almost Lynchian eye for finding the bizarre in the ordinary.

A fast read that's highly recommended.

    Good Read, but too short

I really enjoyed this book and it has been one of the few books that has gotten me to start laughing in a public place. Gethard's stories are entertaining and humorous and contain poignant moments. Gethard certainly isn't the greatest writer of all time, but if you are looking something to read when you are on a layover in Raliegh Durham Airport, then this book will suit you well.

My one complaint is the shortness--- its only about 170 pages.

    Jimmy Live

I haven't read the book yet, but Chris Gethard was on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and it's already on my wish list. Chris was candidly hilarious... I just wish I lived in NY to go mess with his public access tv show, as he has invited anyone and everyone to do. Hilarious.
