    A Great Read

I stumbled upon this book completely by accident, but as a reader of Hellboy comics from 10 years ago I knew it would be good. I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. Mignola and Golden did an excellent job,and the illustrations add a lot of moodiness and atmosphere. My only complaint is that the book is too short and ended too quickly, especially for $25. Hopefully there will be a sequel!

    Worth reading

The illustrations are stark and the imagery portrayed through the text is vivid. Mignola and Golden do an excellent job. However, the story does falter in some places, and the overall tale is cut strangely short -- but, of course, we can always hope for some kind of sequel. The strong points in the writing far outnumber the weak. Twenty-five dollars might be asking a bit much, but at $20 or less, the price is more than fair.

    Definitely worth a read

I recieved an advanced copy of this book and I have to say, I'm very impressed. It seems like this is going to be a series (from the way the book ended). The story has several supernatural tales told by different characters before the main story unfolds and each one is equally enthralling. Definitely worth a read for anyone interested in fantasy or things that go bump in the night!
