Excellent history of the Media world's struggle to grasp the internet
As a "media-junkie" I found this book extremely useful in explaining a lot of what happened in the '90s for companies like Time Warner, AOL, Disney and such. Decisions they made that seem strange or foolish now are presented in a light that explains them better by putting them in context. The only problem with the book is that the author can't help but make the same point over and over again about how the top management at Time Warner was foolish and misguided in all of their new media and internet decisions. It is clear by their decisions, investments and their outcomes, but the author can't help but point out their mistakes and short-sidedness at every turn. Was this review helpful?
