Great Presidential Read For Kids!
My son absolutely loved this book. He is a very good reader, probably about two grades ahead of his 3rd grade class. He read this book cover to cover the first few days he had it. His class had just gone through a mock presidential debate and elections, so this was the perfect book at the perfect time for him. Absolutely would recommend this to a school-age child. It might be a little hard reading for lower than 3rd grade and may be a bit challenging for some, but highly worth it. The book portrays our 44th President as a person and the experiences he faced that made him the man he is today.

Brarack Obama Our 44th president
Excellent book to read aloud to young children or for older children to read by themselves. The life of our 44th president, Barack Obama, is descriptively written for young readers to explore. This book clears up misconceptions of our new president. It is a must have book for people of all ages to read. It is also a fast read. I would recomment this book to everyone.

I HIGHLY SUGGEST THIS!!!
I had to read this book for a summer assignment for school, and would highly recommend it. It shows all the hardship that President Obama has gone throughout his life and political career. His first interest in politics started as a young boy, where a deep respect for his mother, who grew up during a time of social turmoil. His father was a Kenyan, and had divorced from his mother when she found out he had a second family in Kenya. The family grew up in Hawaii.
Breaking the color barrier for presidency wasn't the first achievement president Obama has made during his life. He also became the first African American editor at Harvard law review. When he was a child President Obama had to overcome his racial identity, and struggled to accept it.
This book goes in depth from every aspect of President Obama's life, and really gives the reader a reason to continue to read. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. The information in the book is accurate, and is written in a way such that even the most un willing person cannot set this book down. Beatrice Gormley has giving to us a very interesting, and exciting, account of our presidents life which should be in every classroom or school library.0 out of 1 people found this review helpful.
