I read a few Hemingway stories back in High School. My teacher was very thorough in his explanation of the "lost generation" writers and their influence on literature. At the time I found it pretty interesting but it wasn't until a few years later that I have come to truly appreciate authors like Ernest Hemingway and F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Hemingway in particular interests me and the themes and motifs in his stories speak to me.

This particular book collects 4 stories by Hemingway. The stories themselves are the ones he wrote with no changes obviously. The book itself is attractive. It's just how it looks on the website. It's bound pretty nice in tight in leather and it's quite comfortable to read wile in bed or on a desk.

If your a fan of his stories don't pass this one up. I do hope we get more leather bound classic collections like this from other authors like John Stienbeck, Mark Twain and F. Scott Fitzgerald.

The book is beautiful but overall I would not read it if I were you. The gold around the edges of the paper comes off in a dust and embeds itself in the skin. I'm worried about people being injured by this book. Also, the fact that it was printed in China is a little unsettling considering their propensity for lead based paints. Also, some of the pages aren't cut right and have been folded inside so that you can't see the missing gold lined pages. If you want something that will look nice sitting on or off your book case, buy it. If you want to be able to hold and read a beautiful book with out worrying about gold flakes getting embedded into your skin or flying into your eyes, don't waste your money.

    Gorgeous Book

Love the look of the book and it's a steal in that it includes all of Hemingway's best books.

Handsome cover - you must obtain this book for your collection.

I haven't started reading this book but it's a very handsome looking book. I read "The Old Man of Sea" in high school and I cannot wait to re-read it again some 30 years later.

This is one of a number of classic books that I've recently purchased from Barnes & Nobles to fill my newly constructed library bookcases.

A Masterful Collection by a Masterful American Treasure

The author needs no introduction but if you've never read Hemingway, this a beautiful volume with which to start. If you are a fan of Papa, this beautifully bound volume will complete your collection and beckon you to read again.
