    Forget About You-Know-Who's: Get the Gifis book!

    Studying the language of law can take a lifetime, but the fundamental concepts are simple. Gifis captures this simplicity with minimal yet precise language, accessable to the common man. Gifis is an attorney (and a professor at Princton, I believe); understandably there is a small amount of 'barrister bias'. But overall, this is a fabulous resource. Whether you are buying a house, or going to court... you need this book! Thank you, Dr. Gifis!

    Invaluable & Handy Legal Reference...

    As far as small legal reference books are concerned, this book is the bomb! The author uses his words exceptionally well, which makes his dictionary readable to laypersons, but also invaluable to those immersed in the legal world (a difficult line to straddle). It contains numerous Latin phrases and citations that give a starting place for further research, if needed. This book goes anywhere I study- it's just so dang handy! When Black's twenty pound law dictionary is just not convenient, Barron's will be there for you without a loss in informational density. And at a ridiculously inexpensive price considering what it contains, this dictionary should be required for all people remotely connected to the law.
