You can't hit a home run every time at bat.   I'm a huge Andy Andrews fan,
but have to say he struck out with this one.
Promoted as a very funny book, and a family book, it is neither.
The problem I have with it is that  it goes against  a lot
of Andy's own teaching. I double checked to make sure he was the author.  I
love the way he usually teaches us parents how to instill
good values in our children.  This book teaches that it is funny to laugh at
people with physical  disabilities.   (In this case a speech impediment)  It also
teaches that it is ok for children to mock authority figures, like coaches.
And funny it ain't, unless you are into third grade humor about bodily functions.  If you like
Andy Andrew's books I highly recommend that you skip this one and move on to some of  his better ones.

    Too short!

Funny, yes but 42 pages including illustrations? I read this $7.99 book in 15 minutes. Disappointed to have spent this much for so little.

    What the WHAT?!

Tried to read the "SAMPLE" which was 8 pages long and didn't get any TEXT except on page 8 where the story actually starts. It reads simply, in a town so small there is no ...

So no... i'm not falling for it. I want a bigger sample.

Ok so let me tell you I have never anticipated the release of a book more than this one. It is 1:56am and I have been plotting out my route to located my first copy of this book. Once I have secured my own copy I will continue to find more. One to go to my daughters High School softball coaches. Her awards banquet is tonight and one of them has agreed to read it to the crowd. My son leave for Arizona on Thursday for his summer intership at a christian youth camp and he will also have a copy. From there it will be one for my Pastor several for the men's group and then countless other fathers days gifts for friends. All this and I haven't even read the book yet. But i have heard the short version on XM radio and I the book is half as funny then I know it will be worth it. This is going to be a great book I just know it is. Good luck finding a copy because I am going to be buying several copies. Go out and purchase yours I know you will love it
