I found the book to be delightful. It brought back some childhood memories about baseball games. Mr. Parsons mixes humor with growing up with a sports hero in the family. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

If you've ever loved baseball -- playing and watching!
I read this book in one delightful sitting -- I didn't want to put it down. The narrator, who lives in LA and plays baseball and softball, looks back on his life-long obsession with the game and its heroes, especially Nolan Ryan. Tanner Parsons artfully weaves the story of his current teams' struggles for championship wins into the story of his long-lived passion for following the triumphs and defeats of his professional baseball heroes. The novel provides a refreshing and nostalgic look at the reason why baseball draws so many die-hard fans for life -- from childhood through adulthood. The book reminds me that the game will always there, regardless of what phase of life we're in. I think that the book is also suitable for a teen reader and would make a great gift. Oh, yeah, the book also made me laugh!!Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
