Alright

My only complaint is that the ending was not a surprise at all. I mean, really. After all that bad stuff happens and since josh's character was the least developed (basically a funny joker who likes November), you just knew something drastic would happen to him. I like ...

    this book..

I think this book is good because it has really good details. Sharon M. Draper is a very good author and she writes really good books. I like how this book has cliff hangers. I like the main chacter which is Jericho.

    It was alright....

The Battle of Jericho was just an 'ok' book for me. I felt that the characters were only two dimensional. I didn't really connect with them. They seemed like names on paper and they could've been developed a lot better. For an example, with Josh and his incident, I barely shed a tear because again, I didn't really get to know him or connect with him. I know Sharon M. Draper wrote this book with only great intentions in mind and to teach teens lessons about peer pressure and where it could lead up and I've got that from it, but it would've meant more if I could've gotten to know the characters a little bit more. I give it a three and not a one because the overall plot was interesting and I wanted to see what the characters had in store for them, but sometimes I found myself cringing because the slang she used was outdated. All in all the book was alright. It could've been better, but I wouldn't have read it all the way through if I didn't at least like it.

The Battle of Jericho was an ok book to read. I would it give it three stars out of five. The reason behind this because this book could have a better climax. I wouldn¿t spoil it because it would ruin the point of reading the book. Overall I would recommend someone to read the book. I have my thoughts of the book and if you read the book you will have your thoughts of it. If you like books about drama, action, and suspense then this would be a book you would most likely enjoy to read. The matter between choosing life or death.

¿The Battle of Jericho¿ is a book that makes the reader focus on the main idea of the book¿choices. Jericho, the main character, is an average student at his high school until one day he is asked to join a distinctive club. At first he doesn¿t know much he¿s getting into until he further involves himself with the club. In a certain way, the author includes passages in the book that appear to be significant for later on but it doesn¿t lead to something effective. With these extra ideas I believe the author should have expanded for a better storyline and a clearly superior ending. The characters all link in a way that makes it easy to remember all of them. The tests they endure are very interesting to read and have follow-ups that make the reader want to read further ahead. In overall, I¿d give this book 3.5 out of 5 because of the in my opinion poor written plot and ending.

This was an ok book. There were parts of it that i could relate to, this really grabed my attention. Through out the book a boy has to make hard decisions. This book catches what life as a teen is, the hard stuff and the fun stuff. I dont like to read but I actually sat down and read this one and it was worth it.
