    Common sense information

a little repetitive (he would take 20 sentences to say something that only needed a line or two. it was almost as if the author was doing a college writing assignment that required him to have a minimum of x pages and in order to meet that he repeated himself).

Useful Information, some of which we've heard before BUT is needed as a reminder. It's an easy read in the aspect that terms were not "over my head".

    POORLY WRITTEN- NOT RECOMMENDED READ

The premise of the book is that it isn't the absence of fears, it is how one handle them that makes a difference. It is a good starting point. However the 5 step plan is very superficial and essentially a seri of list making exercises (e.g making fears dump, stuck and payoff lists etc...). It is ok for these materials to be content of magazines but they are not thoughtful and well-researched enough to be a self-help book. Throughout the book, the authors criticized long-term, traditional therapy but based his arguments purely on anecdotes and perhaps a small number of clients that he saw. I would recommend readers to be cautious and not to take those arguments seriously without research evidence.
