Should be a spiritual reference guide for Women

From the very beginning of reading Beautiful Battle, I had a feeling that I was reading truths that I have known, but never knew how to put into words. If you have that unsettled feeling that something's just not right with your life, get this book! I especially see myself in parts of the book that say that Satan will act, especially directly after a spiritually good time in your life when you have felt close to Jesus. That's when Satan is hardest at work to pull you back into the self doubts and feelings of shame, and gets you back being wrapped up in the worldly world, and away from Jesus. I have highlighted many parts of the book, and will use it as a spiritual reference that I will keep on my nightstand along with my Bible for the rest of my life. Thank you Mary DeMuth for your wonderful book of encouragement that yes, Satan is at work in our lives, but Christ is so much stronger and is always there to lift us up and away from the evil and into a joy filled life.

Somewhere between facing cancer and embracing God’s call o

Somewhere between facing cancer and embracing God’s call on my life, I found myself unprepared for the spiritual warfare I faced. Looking for more training on how to use the weapons, I’ve been eagerly looking forward to Mary DeMuth’s new book, Beautiful Battle. It didn’t disappointed me. Nor would it disappoint any reader, who chose it from the back cover information.

We have a gaping God hole which we spend our entire lives trying to fill. Satan offers us many counterfeit fillers. For Mary, “spiritual warfare begins -- leaving our own methods of filling our gaping holes at the well and allowing Jesus to fill every thirsty, needy place with His Living Water (p. 17.)”

“Spiritual warfare is about setting things in proper order in our hearts and mind through the power of the Holy Spirit. (p. 64)” Her personal stories and spiritual insights take us from the foundations of the battle to our victory in Christ, with action steps to create order in our hearts and minds.

Her observations and premises rang true against my own experiences.

In Mary’s transparent and engaging style, she draws you into this challenging topic empowering you with courage and skill to face the darkness. I plan on keeping my copy next to my desk.

    A Must Read

Beautiful Battle grabs your heart, mind then touches your soul with its simplicity and wisdom. I can almost see Jesus hi-lighting certain passages just for me to re-read and pray about. Thank you Mary, for your love for humanity.
