A really great retelling of an old tale! Loved everything about it except the size. I didn't realize it was a short story. So guys, if you're looking for a good book for a long trip, don't buy just this one book.

I read the reviews for this book and I thought it would be longer but as it turns out it felt more like a short story of 200 plus pages. Overall not bad at all, I like the characters and the back story. Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite fairy tale stories and this book has the fairy tale aspect of the real story in the background with the characters.

The story goes as followed, the main character Prince Alexander is turned into a werewolf by a witch that curses him for one year, in which he must have a female fall for him in his wolf form. So a few months pass when the second main character Cecelia goes to her secret brook which is a pretty much a small river that's very peaceful to her and gives her solitude, but something happens during the day and she couldn't take the pressure and ran to the brook.

This is where they both meet, Alexander in his wolf form and Cecelia crying her heart out. So as time passes they both speak to each and give each other compassion. Soon Alexander falls for her and because he is going to give up his throne to his cousin, he starts having second thoughts. His cousin on the other hand, has his own To Do List for obtaining the throne.

Overall I really liked the story and the characters are sorta of developed well but not enough. I just wish that she would have done more background details. For example, the Cousin who is suppose to take over the throne, he fights for it but I feel like he doesn't have a back bone until the end of the story and when it comes to the main characters, it's feels like love at first sight but I also think that everything was moving too fast and to me, I felt like there should have been more to the characters and the details around them. I think if the author prolonged the story and added some really good scenes and some better fight scenes, the story would be a 5 star right off the bat.
