I read this book in two days and it was very intriguing to know that what we see on the show is only the tip of the iceberg. The fact that they had so many issues that they brushed under the rug was really surprising especially since they made it seem that they were really good friends from beginning but that wasn't the case exactly.I was especially disappointed with how Meri treated Janelle early on and even today, they still haven't worked on things from the past but it seems like they want to start trying to. Not trying to go into to much detail but it was a very good read a lot questions that I had were answered. Still don't agree with the lifestyle but I appreciate the honesty of the book.

I'm disappointed that people have written more reviews of the Brown family here than of the actual book itself. If you're trying to decide if this book is worth the time and money, my opinion of the Brown's is irrelevant, so I will stick to what I think about the book! It's a very easy and enjoyable read however, if you've seen every episode of Sister Wives, including the "bonus" behind the scenes interview shows TLC has aired, you won't really find out much that you don't already know. I was hoping the book would shed some light on how the family financially supports 5 adults and all of those kids, but they are as vague about it in the book as they are on the show. That is just one of the many things I'm curious about when it comes to Kody and his family. I wouldn't consider their book a waste of time to read, but I do wish I hadn't wasted $12 on it because I basically paid for the same information twice, first to the cable company and now to Barnes & Noble. They should have spent the time to go more in depth and to address some of the things they don't get into or have time to go into detail about on the show. The editors didn't do a very good job either. There are more spelling and grammatical errors in this book than in any other book I've ever read, there's a lot of redundancy and it just didn't flow as smoothly as it should.

Gives great insight into their lives

I am a great fan of the Sister Wives television show. This book was so interesting to me. It told more about their lives than the tv show has provided. Their story simply fascinates me. I could not live that was but their story is amazing. I recommend this book to anyone who watced their show.

    From the Heart

The TV show is great, but this book lets us get to really know the Browns. Each section brings a unique perspective and voice. My mind has been changed 100% on the subject of polygamy by this family. Hats off to them for standing their ground and following what they, as a family unit, believe to be right.

    Sister wives

I really enjoyed reading this book. I admire their honesty and not letting fear stand in the way of telling their story. Your life is your own and only you choose how to live it. Life is a mix of different views. I applaud them for coming out of the dark. They seem like a really loving family that we could all learn from.life is not measured by how many breaths we tske but by the moments that take our breath away. God bless this family.

I read the "sample" and immediately hit the Buy Now button! Although I am not in favor of polygamy or a big fan of Kody Brown, I felt their commitment to each other and the conviction in which they told their story was inspiring. In a world with so much hate, who am I to judge a family that so clearly loves one another. Good for the Brown’s for having the courage to “come out of the closet”!

    Interesting

This book is an in depth explanation on ea person involved in the Brown's Poligamy Marriages. Each one has a voice and in thier own words describe what it means to be in this lifestyle, how they were raised, met Kody/wife and how they manage to cope from day to day. I am not a believer, but this book has helped me to understand the adults involved and what led them to be so dedicated to plural marriages. I believe in God's word as written in the bible. How we understand his word is partly how we were raised to believe and what we accept as true. This book is an attempt at explaining one religion out of many out there. It is not up to any of us to judge them as wrong, that is God's place alone. If you can read this with open mindness you will learn about why they believe the way they do. I think the biggest reason for the writing of this book is for people to just be understanding and respect their right to practice their faith as you would any other religion be it mormon, catholic, muslim, protestant. Buddism, etc.. I was under the impresson that this country (USA) was founded on freedom of religion. I say let them live the way they believe. Most everyone believes that their religion is the correct one to follow. I say, let God be the judge. In the end we will each have to stand before God and answer for ourselves.

    Fan of the show....

Therefore, I was really interested in some behind the scene stuff. I did get all that information and then some! I loved telling some stuff to some other fans and that made them buy the book as well.

    Enjoyed!
