    Great gift for beer lovers!

I bought this for my husband for Christmas. He already started to read it, and he seems to be enjoying it so far. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys beer and wants to learn more about many different kinds of beer.

Can one ever try them all?

David Kenning's "Beers of the world" gives a nice overview over beers brewed around the world. The book cannot show them all, but it shows the well-know and less-known brands from American to Spanish or Slowenian beers. Kenning gives interesting facts about the breweries and their history, ingredients, taste of the beer and even gives recommendations what to eat when enjoying a specific beer. Called "a comprehensive guide to more than 350 of the finest beers" it is not totally meeting our expectations, because some great beers or details about the brewing process are missing, but that is subjective. Otherwise a very interesting book with many photographs and well researched information.

It is great for any beer lover!

What an inexpensive gift for the beer lover! He loved it...read about the beers he knew and learned a bit about the brewers. Interesting but not laborious. I'd recommend it! (Have to admit that I took a peak before gifting.)

Good overview and pairings for beers around the globe

Like the title of the book infers, this nifty coffee-table book gives a nice overview of hundreds of beers, each with a short history of the brewery (sort of helpful) and descriptions of the beers and food pairings (VERY helpful). Now I can go to the international section of the grocery store armed with good info about the beer I might try and what food to pick up with it. Just a nice book to have on your living room table or give to a guy who likes beer.

    A reviewer

Has over 350 different brews. On the other hand is missing some seriously large micro brews.
