IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE WITH ED

I am a mother of a daughter who is receiving help for her eating disorder. She has Anorexia. The Beginners Guide is probably one of the best books I have read so far, and I have read quite a few. It is up to date, printed Nov 2003. It is written in a way that is so easy to understand. She ends every chapter with a 10 to 12 point summary of the chapter you have just read. I encourage anyone, parents, relatives, friends, teachers, boyfriends to read this book. One may never ever know what it feels like to be a disordered eater, but you can learn to understand why, where, how an eating disorder comes about. I encourage anyone to read this book... It has helped me so much to understand this terrifying disorder and help me to be the best support I can be for my daughter. She must want to get better and this book helps me to understand how I can be the best support to help her get better. Please read this book.

    From Smiley

My best friend has an eating disorder. When we went to Taco Bell she ordered a Doritos Locos Taco. She didn't even eat half of it. She was obviously hungry still (I am almost sure anyone for ten miles could hear her stomach growling) but refused to eat. I want to know if this would be a good book for her. I love her and all but she does it for male attention but she is already gorgeous and it seems as if she just does it to rub her thinness in everyones face. I weigh 129lbs I am 12 and 5-8.5 she is 5-3 13 and weighs 83lbs. She is do thin it makes me pissed everytime she doesn't eat when she is hungry and i cant stand it. I just a little under 1 month sh lost about 20lbs. I am so worried:(
