Not for absolute beginners, OK as supplement for those with previous knowledge
This is not a good book for beginners to start with, instead I recommend the Teach Yourself Hungarian book. Why beginners should NOT start with this book: 1. the grammar is too poorly explained 2. too few exercises 3. no useful and practical exercises: learning is based on memorization of texts. People who might benefit from using this book are those, like me, who have studied Hungarian previously and need a revision every now and then. It has good vocabulary coverage and vocabulary listings for word-memorization, and is very direct and 'to-the-point' with the grammar. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
