Sasha is in quite a predicament...friend and boy wise. Her BFF, Callie, thinks she's after her crush, Eric, but Sasha swears they are just friends. After all, she likes Jacob and wishes he was back at Canterwood Crest so they can talk about her outburst before he left. Regardless, Callie won't talk to her, and that means Sasha really only has Eric and her horse, Charm, to turn to. In the process of trying to win back her friend, Sasha learns that mean girl Heather isn't all she appears to be, the older girls have a trick up their sleeve, and being in a clinic might be harder than she thought. Jessica Burkhart has written a fun series that is sure to suck younger girls in! There is plenty of jealous yet realistic situations and actions. You get a wide variety of characters, from mean girls to mistaken mean girls and all the types in between. Everyone, for the most part, seems fleshed out and real, and Sasha is definitely one heroine to root for! Eric is a swoon-worthy friend, ready and willing to do whatever he can to help another. He has his own feelings, though, and you'll definitely feel for him throughout the story, even when Sasha is too lost in her own problems to realize someone else's thoughts. BEHIND THE BIT is just one book in the series, but it can stand alone quite well, and is sure to make readers most curious for the rest!

O.K. Book

There are a few horsey mistakes in this series - palomino Arabians do not exist, (Although are mentioned very frequently in the series, with Allison's Arabian, Sunstruck) and when you trot, you're on a diagonal, not a lead. It is a fair book, but, not a very good read if you want to know more about horses. The plot keeps you hanging, though, and everytime the next book in the series comes out, I do still go out and buy it anyway.

    Its ok

Too much school, boy, friend, ad clique drama. Also, theyre wasnt that much about horses as i wouldve liked. If u feel the same way or differently, write back to horsecrazygirl1212. Thanks!

    Problems much?

I have to say that this book was so-so. It was so negative and Sasha Silver had way too many problems. Less favorite person in her riding group, former BFF hates, former almost-BF hates her, and her roommate is on a TV show. But it still earns the 3.9 that it gawt.
