    ADVANCED PLACEMENT READING

Purchased for Grandson to be utilized in his advanced reading course. He states it was an excellent storyline and was extremely helpful in the area of analytical reading/understanding.

    Excellent!

I am a fan of classic reading and this is perhaps the very best poetic writing I have ever read. The book is short. To the point. And very vivid in rich detail and fast paced adventure. It also has plenty of moral teachings. This is excellent.

    Pretty good....

This book was filled with action and adventure; exiting......but slow and boring at some points. I recomend this book to 6th or 7th graders.

    A True Classic

Beowulf is a story that I immensely enjoyed. In this epic poem, the classic themes of good against evil and the importance of character are powerfully shown. I was transported into this story as the words melted and became pictures in my mind. Although Beowulf occasionally spoke of histories unknown to me, I found that this did not hinder my enjoyment of the story in any way whatsoever. This is a truly wonderful story. When I first picked it up, I did not anticipate the treat in store for me when I read it. I hope that others will read this story and enjoy it as much as I did.
