A wonderful book about the cycle of new life

This is a wonderful book for kids! It is not a religious book, but rather focuses on the cyclical nature of life. Momma Bear shows her cubs that spring means new life popping up everywhere, and the Cubs learn that holidays are about more than just getting "stuff."

    Okay

This Berenstain Bears Easter Egg story is more about Spring and the renewal of life that happens during this season. Easter eggs are a good representation of the cycle of life. This is not a religious Easter book. It does have a good message, though. We love the Berenstain Bears at our house.

This book has one major problem. The story is good. The pictures are good. But, the way that it is displayed on my Nook Tablet leaves you with many pages that have only words or only pictures. And, you can only use the portrait view to read this story. The landscape view is unavailable for this book.

My daughter and I would be happier if this book was formatted in the same way as many of the B.B. books. Her nearly three year old attention span is not long enough to weather the distracting format for long. I wish that I had just bought the paper version. At least then, I would know what I was getting ahead of time.

    Another Great Berenstain Book!

A story that our 3 year old loves to hear over and over again. Very sweet storyline in classic berenstain bear fashion. However, nothing at all to do with the religious side of Easter.

    A Refreshing Easter Book

If you are tired of the average egg hunt book, this is a nice alternative. It offers kids some food for thought about why eggs are meaningful at Easter. (Although if you are looking for a book with Jesus as the central character, this isn't it. Our family has a couple of those too, but I like an eclectic approach that exposes kids to other useful perspectives too.)
