i usually don't read books like the clique. i'm more into action, mystery, and fantasy. but to my suprise, i ended up enjoying this series. its all about Massie Block, Alicia Rivera, Dylan Marvil, Kristen Gregory, and claire lyons. they are the pretty committee and they rule the school. its full of backstabbing and gossip and new words like LBR (loser beyond repair) and ah-mazing and ehmagawd and Ah-bviously. i recommend this series because lisi harrison is an ah-mazing author. if you liked this i also recommend hottie, bras and broomsticks, how to ditch your fairy, airhead, and violet on the runway.

Teen Tripe

This is astonishing that a book filled with as much tripe, poor writing and horrific teen behavior is popular with 5th-12th grade girls 'and older!!'. These kids emulate a life of nasty, cruel and materialistic tendencies with all of their relationships- especially them...
This is astonishing that a book filled with as much tripe, poor writing and horrific teen behavior is popular with 5th-12th grade girls 'and older!!'. These kids emulate a life of nasty, cruel and materialistic tendencies with all of their relationships- especially themselves. 12 year old girls obsessing about weight, their looks, and being 'in' or 'out' of the most disrespectful, 'MTV-is-cool-for-small-brained-egotistical-unaware-teens' cliques imaginable. 'Maybe if I find a boyfriend, my life won't be so pathetic' laments one obviously distressed, tortured 12 yr old girl aiming to stay in the clique. But she won't unless she gets some from one of the boys in the school. What is that? That is dangerous for naive girls. Don't let your kids read this garbage. Encourage them to read books with positive, clever, compassionate characters that will serve well as role models.

    In the middle...uhhh

Ok get this straight. Before you even think about reading this series. The girls act like their already in highschool or like thier party animals in college during the hallween party. I mean what parent would actually let a girl in 7 grade'like me' wear something that's ' sexy'. I mean do you know what happens in the world today. This girls are stuck up... I mean putting somebody down just because they were Keds. What if they wore shoes with butterfly's on it through a stampe. I did like some of the parts though when Massie wasn't around her 'friends'. I mean some girls do act like this. But who really wants to read something about spoiled girls who don't care about anybody but thiersevles. Oh and Massie get out my ' Grill'. Lisi Harrison is a great writer... I just wished her book didn't half to Envolve around Shallow girls. And for Laydne you go girl! Claire don't suck up! Alica please give up! Dylan just make sure you don't get to skinny! Massie get some new lines and act like your true self not that ugly mask you wear!

    Blah.

Kind of immature plot and story...then again it IS focused around 7th graders. Pretty unrealistic.

I Think It's A Great Book ... For Little Preteens.

This book is extremely shallow. All these girls care about are clothes, boys, and revenge. They are all so mean spirited. I think it's a great book... if you are a little preteen, it's such a knock off of the A-List series. And also, Massies little jokes, are so unclever. Example: 'Did i invite you to my barbeque, then why are you all up in my grill?'But I have to say, these girls have some nice taste in clothes.

    BAAAAD book!

This book was horrible! The characters are very 'flimsy' and there isn't much of a story. It also spends way too much time talking about what's in and what's out. DO NOT READ!!!
