    Simple to Follow

    I bought this book to prepare for Beth Shaw's Yogafit 2 day class. I am a certified personal trainer and have spent several years learning different aspects of fitness. This is my first venture into Yoga and I stumbled upon Yogafit. I have found that yoga integrates well with not only my fitness philosophy but my life philosophy as well.

    This book is written with a simple and clear style and is an excellent introduction to not only the exercise aspects of Yoga but also the beliefs behind Yogafit's philosophy on living a better life.

    A great tool for Teachers, Personal Trainers or Beginners

    Beth Shaw's 2nd edition, it is put together so fluidly in an easy to follow manner, a great buy for the experienced yogini or the beginner student. It has an introduction to meditation and additional breathing exercises; this book is great for any fitness professional or experienced yoga teacher's library. As a personal trainer, I feel comfortable recommending it to my clients, with each pose safely broken down. Over 70 poses, and sequencing of these poses together, flows and suggestions relative to specific sports, many modifications, multiple photos and easy directions clearly explained, it is chock full of info.

    A must for a novice yogi who is testing the water. Educationally sound and easy to follow. A great addition to your library!

    Beth Shaw's YogaFit is an easy to follow, in-depth, inspirational, education based book. It is the marrying of Yoga and Fitness at its best. Inside you find Yoga essentials, such as living a yogafit lifestyle, physical postures for different modalities and more. A must buy!

    Great Book!

    The book was easy to follow. It explained clearly all about yoga both the meaning and the practice of yoga. Whatever level you are at this book has very good information!

    Comprehensive, well written and wonderful tool making yoga for fitness truly accessible to every"body."

    Beth's YogaFit Second Edition is one of the most comprehensive well written and useful book about yoga I have found on the market. It is written for both the beginner and the advanced Yogi and is an incredibly valuable tool for anyone who is interested in yoga. Beth's book is nothing short of brilliant and the comprehensive, well thought out content clearly demonstrates the work of a true expert. This book packs years of education into a very valuable resource and a very useful tool. After 20 years in the fitness industry as an instructor, educator, author and presenter, I finally have a yoga program guide I can feel good about recommending to my clients, my staff and my family.<BR/>Shonna Porter M.A. CPT

    East meets West, clear and inspiring!

    Beth Shaw's second edition of YogaFit provides the reader with a comprehensive guide to the practice of yoga. In a user friendly format, with sound exercise science behind it, Beth has succeeded in describing not only how to approach and enjoy a home practice, but a guide for yoga teachers as well in how to effectively sequence a practice for your own specific needs. This book provides it all, descriptions of the postures, yogic lifestyle, an intro the the philosophy of yoga, the energy systems, and nutrition; without confusing the reader with jargon. This is an excellent book for the new yogi, the experienced yogi, the athelete, and the health professional wanting to incoroporate it into their practice.
