this whole series so far has been addicting and ive loved every single chapter, book, conflict. I love how its not just like every other vampire book, i mean cmon in this series they even spell vampire different! and the fact that they can have tatoos on their faces to show that they are a fledgling at the house of night, well thats just awesome. These books honestly make me want this kind of world to be real and i could be Zoey Redbird. This book has made me cry, laugh, be mad, scared.. its just incredible the effect this series has had on me! two thumbs up in my book (:

Not as good as good as the first book in this series. I was hoping the characters and story would mature as it progressed. Unfortunately, as indicated by the author's repetitive (page-filling) narrative, this is obviously intended for young readers.

Disappointing. Hardly any 'meat' to this story. The repetitive (page-filling) narration was exhausting, especially concerning Zoey's boyfriend, ex-boyfriend, almost boyfriend and which one of them she was in love with this hour! (OMG, get a grip!) The first book in this series was entertaining even though it seemed to be targeting a much younger age group. Still, it held promise that the story and characters could mature past the 'high-school' mentality given the supernatural circumstances afforded by the original story-line. At the very least, one expected the author to maintain that level of maturity in this book. Instead, the story 'Betrayed' digressed to the point that it more closely resembled the ramblings of some boy-crazed teenager's Facebook posting! What a waste of a good idea (not to mention my time!). Makes one feel a bit ...nah, too 'easy-peasy'-cheesy!

    Different

After I read Marked the first book in the series.I thought I knew what to expect in the next book, but boy was I wrong. This book wasn't at all what I expected. It was an okay read i'd give it 2 out of 5 stars.

    ....

Not done with this one but it is really slow going the first 2 chapters are all about the first book witch i do not like if we are reading the 2 book then we know whats going on just get to the story already...but still a teens book I don't thank its going to be able to hold my attention long I am grown so the little childish babbling just irritates me... If I was 15 this book would probably be a GREAT book!!!

    Disappointing

I am not at all happy that I paid for this book. The writing quality is poor, repetative and cliched. The plot is painfully obvious. Intellectually this book is for 5th graders but the content is far too sexual for anything less than high school juniors.
