This book will tease your emotions from one end to the other. Be prepared for tears. Sisters? Meghan, a wealthy successful divorce lawyer, sophisticated and wordly city girl but happy? I think not. Claire, to the other extreme, down to earth, dropped out of college, simple, uncomplicated, country girl. Happy? These characters will grab your heart with both hands. This book is touching, intriguing, moving and will challenge your thoughts. Well worth reading!! Some others I rank up there in the number ONE spot are THE HELP, EXPLOSION IN PARIS and Firefly Lane...

I read Kristin Hannah's newest books before writing her older stuff, like this. Big mistake. Her older book, like this isn't written the best. Sister comes back, other sister meets a man in a week and decides to marry him, sisters become best friends. No depth, no edgyness, and not realistic at all. Still, its an easy read for a road trip or a day at the beach. I wouldn't keep it on my permanent bookshelf, as its not the best of Hannah's. To be nice, it did make me watch out to my brother more (since i don't have a sister) and keep things going with him. All, and all, just kind of plain for me.

    Dragged on

This was a good book but it just dragged on........I kept waiting for the answer to the connection of the characters but it took over half the book. Its a good read but not a relaxing one at all. Good story though.

    Slow book

I am disappointed in this bk, i have read true colors and night road and they r great 5 star books. She is a great author but truely this book dragged for the first 100 pages and it was really hard to get into until the end which had a good plot. It should have been a book with 150 pages instead. :(

Makes you think about what is important in life...

This book comes with important life lessons. For one, life is short so the sooner you get your priorities straight the sooner you can enjoy it. Two, your top priorities should be the relationships your share with family and friends. That is what will make you truly happy. Money and fame alone will not. Its proven in this book multiple times. Overall I enjoyed the book. Kristin Hannah has not disappointed me yet!

    A Tender Heartwarming story

Hannah's books are usually about lifes journey or about trials and errors. Lost love, heart break , finding courage and strength. She does a beautiful job with this book outlining the journey of 2 sisters with an irresponsible mother. After reading several of her books now, I kind of did find this particular story a little predictable. IT was still a good story and read and recommend it. It did bring tears to my eyes at parts, however, I didn't find it as emotionally jarring as Winter Garden or Knight Road. Could be that I didn't have a connection with the characters though.

    an emotional ride

The book was predictable, but really showed how the sisters cared for each other and grow closer
