Good 'primer' for parents new to the baby-naming process.
I would recommend that new (and old!) parents read this book before approaching the baby-naming process. Rosenkrantz and Satran offer up some sage advice to consider, especially regarding name styles and future siblings. The book helps you to look at the 'big picture' of naming your child/ren instead of being solely focused on that darling name you love today (that might be 'out' tomorrow). KEEP IN MIND, though, that the classifications, name associations and 'in or out' designations are purely the opinions of these authors. Contrary to the B&N synopsis above, this book is NOT the last word in naming baby! ;-) All considered, it IS a helpful and thoughtful resource and I highly recommend it for the baby-naming 'theory' as much as the name suggestions. Was this review helpful?
