Beyond the grave is the fourth book of the series the 39 clues. As said in the book the past is very much alive its true because if you pay attention to not only the story but the entire book itself before you start reading and after you read it, theirs clues in every single book and different ways you find them. The code or clue that was in this book was in hieroglyphics. In order to figure the hieroglyphics you would have to look in front of the cover where you would find letter that correspond to the hieroglyphics. Once you solve if I am correct it should say "Alistair was there the night they died". This can refer to Amy's and Dan's parents because their the only one that have been introduce as dead besides Grace their grandmother. But the reason it cant be her is because the clue says "they" and not "she".

Moving on to the summary of the book, Dan and Amy along with their au-pair (babysitter) Nellie l\ find themselves in the middle of the Khan el-Khalili market in Cairo. Which is located in Egypt. After being double cross by their twisted cousins Ian and Natalie Kabra, they were determined to get back in the game with one reminding strategy which was to trust no one. As the book continues we see a new Amy that past books haven't shown. She became more spoken minded instead of being the "typical shy girl" she rose to the oh occasion when she had to defend her brother or when she had something on her mind weather it was nice or mean. We also learn that Grace had travel around the world many times and she knew that Amy and Dan would chose the hunt for the 39 clues instead for the one million dollars. As the book continues they make the same mistake of trusting one of Grace's old friend and she turned out to be like the rest of the Cahills, greedy. Now for the last thing i like about this book is that if you really payed attention you would see that theirs mini lessons. For example on page 74 it states "we had to look first, then read what someone else had said about it." Which is saying know something first then judge, and not judging by what other people say.

Overall i would give this book a three out of five stars. I think "Beyond the Grave" is a great book but two things I didn't like is that it moved at a fast paste. I think that the author could of done a better job slowing it down and describing the setting, before jumping to another setting. Another thing i didn't like was that Amy and Dan kept trusting people when they have already been stab in the back way to many times, and the result would be the same. It was to predictable.

    Great Series

I like the series, although it's a little confusing. Maybe that's just me because I'm fast reader. The first three books were the best, although the first one is my favorite.

Plese keep writing!!! I really enjoy your stories!!! I would try to guess who Merida's mom is but I have no clue who she would be. Here is a character bio if you need one.

Lauren Robison; daughter of Posiedon. Has long brown hair, blue eyes and a Celestial Bronze dagger. Some of her characteristics are: nice, funny, witty, daring, and adventueous. ;) :) - CM;)

    The Calm Before the Storm-6

Thanks, horsegirl. To other people, you guys still need to guess who Merida's godly parent is. The next part is at 39 clues series #4: The Black Circle. This part will be in Merida's p.o.v. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Camp Half-blood, I think thats what Percy called it, was everything you could imagine. It was like paradise and there were still ways to die. Like for instance, the rock wall. That freaked me out. My favorite thing about Camp Half-blood was the woods. They were always full of color. So anyway, when I arrived at camp Percy, Annabeth, and the other kids took me to a light blue house called the" Big House". It had a wrap around porch, thats a feature I like. Jay came up to me and said," Just to tell you, Mr. D, the camp's supervisior is really grumpy, rude, mean, and selfish."" I'm used to bullies by now. I think I can handle him.", I said." Well, just don't be rude or he'll turn you into a squirrel and choke you with his grapevines.", he stated. I was a little scared now. A camp supervisior that turns people, who are rude to him, into squirrels." O-okay. I guess I won't say anything offensive. Thanks for the tip." As I walked toward the house I could hear Jay cursing himself.' Silly boy.', I thought.

The inside of the Big House was messy. Like a garbage tornado came though the house and threw garbage everywhere." Wow, um, isn't it kinda you know messy.", I said." I just had a party. Don't judge me.", said a person that I hadn't noticed before. I looked and saw a pot-bellied man with black hair, purple eyes, and the most hideous shirt I had ever seen. He was playing some sort of card game." You must be Mr. D. I'm Merida Adams. Nice to meet you.", I said, holding out my hand for him to shake. Mr. D just looked at my hand in disgust." I don't touch mortals. It brings me bad luck.", he said turning back to his game," Chiron, it's your turn." I didn't even notice the half-man half-horse thing looking at me." Whoa! Oh my gosh!", I said looking at Annabeth," Is that a centaur?"" Yes, I am a centaur. I can also talk.", the centaur said." Oh, well sorry 'bout that. So, why I'm here?", I asked. Chiron said," Because you are not an ordanary child."" Tell me about it.", I said." Your mother or father is a Greek goddess or god. You might remember, from your history lessons. Like Zeus, Athena, Hades, and Ares.", he told me." Yes I remember. Keep going.", I said." Well," Chiron continued," one of those gods are your parent. It is not your father because your father is a mortal."' And dead', I thought. Chiron turned around to look at the clock." Oh, dear. It's time for dinner. Percy why don't you show Merida the Hermes cabin." On our way to the" cabins", I finally felt at home. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Please submit you answer, on who Merida's godly parent, here at this book. My first story is at demigod files. Tell me how I'm doing so far. I'm open to any ideas. I love you guys. S.E.A
