Very good read
A good book to review for the biblical references to the practices in Catholicism. A good reply to the question: "It's not in the Bible!" I would also recommend James Gibbons, The Faith of Our FathersWas this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

Well worth the read
The writing style is a little lofty. He risks losing his point in over long wordy illustrations . But the subject matter is well researched and documented. He does make his point. I am glad I bought this book.It is very catholic friendly and touches on very important issues. I do recommend it. It is educational and obviously a subject about which he feels very deeply. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

Catholicism is Biblical
Armstrong's book proves that Catholicism is not only Biblical, but it is the only Christian Church that completely encompasses the whole teaching of the Bible. Raised an Evangelical, I was taught that Catholicism is anti-biblical and quasi-pagan. But Armstrong (a former Evangelical himself) quotes an abundence of Scripture to confirm that Catholicism is actually more Biblical than Protestantism. Although not as complete as I would have liked (Armstrong only address the main points of Catholicism that Protestants have trouble with, such as Mary, the Pope, Faith vs. Works, etc), it is a great introduction to the Biblical proofs for Catholicism -esp. for Protestants like me who were fed a glutonous diet of 'sola scriptura' during childhood. Dave's arguements are clear and logical, and he quotes extensively from other Catholic theologians and apoligists when appropiate. This book will challange Prostestants presuppositions to Catholicism, while assuring Catholics that their faith is a Biblcal one, despite the misconceived accusations of Protestants. Kodos to Dave Armstrong! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

Great book on the mother Church...
THIS IS AN EXCELLENT BOOK THAT FAITHFULLY SUPPORTS THE CATHOLIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH. DAVE EXPLAINS WITH CLARITY AND PERSUASION BY THE SCRIPTURES WHY CATHOLICISM IS TRUE. ALL PEOPLE INTERESTED IN THE CATHOLIC FAITH NEEDS TO READ AND PONDER THIS POWERFUL APOLOGITIC PUBLICATION. ESPECIALLY FOLKS WHO ARE IGNORANT OF WHAT CATHOLICS REALLY BELIEVE.Was this review helpful?
