Great book.
This book was great. I loved the information the author included as well as the pictures. I would reccomend to anybody that loved crafts. Great for ages teen and up. There were some things a younger person could do but, as with most crafts, an adult would need to assist. Great Buy!

I'm having so much fun
I got this for my birthday and I've made about 20 different things in here already. I have a few craft books and this one is by far one of the most fun. There are things in here I can actually afford to make and they are really cool. I've been crafting my whole life (I'm not that young!) and some of the projects I've seen in different versions before, but this author has a fresh take on creativity. I would absolutely recommend this book to everyone. It's worth the money and there are projects in here you will adore.

Useful, fun and affordable ideas
Overall I really enjoyed this book--the vast majority of the projects are cool items that you can actually use in your home and feel proud of. A unique variety of projects. I also appreciated that the materials are affordable and easy to use, without the end result looking 'cheap.'

With such a great name for the book how could I not get it!
I had always enjoyed Mark Montano during his segments on While You Were Out and he didn't let me down with this Big-Ass Book! The ideas are so unique and most are so easy to complete. The instructions are well thought out and easy to follow. This book has given me and my daughters (we're all quite crafty!) so many great ideas, and especially great ways to recycle many items that otherwise would end up in the garbage but now can be used for these wonderful projects!! We are so busy making things for friends and family for their homes/apartments, We have marked so many pages with projects that we want to do, we will be busy for quite some time!

Love this Book!
I work with adults with disabilities of all kinds. In writing activity, learning and skills programs, I have access to many crafts ideas, but most come from a feminine point of view. My husband also works in this field and recently admonished me for having so many "girly" projects. I went to work searching for a man's perspective and found this great book. I particularly liked the names of some of the items, such as "Crusty Foot Scrub" not a bit girly! Now I can pass the book around and let everyone have choices that are less based on my own tastes and with a more masculine point of view. And everyone loves the name of the book!

glitter glue for adults
some of these projects are not for the faint of heart and the book is not for anyone of macho sensibilities. (you go girlfriend). make sure to have all the equipment necessary for some of this stuff, while there is plenty of room for creativity, not so much for improvising directions.

fun ideas for all around the house and some suitable for teens, youth and younger to add in the fun. -
fun fun fun!
If you like doing random projects this is the book for you. The ideas in this book just brush the surface of all the things you could do for a reasonable amount of money to decorate around your apartment/house. I couldn't believe how many projects were actually in this book until I started marking the pages of the things I wanted to do... Some of the crafts however look easier than they actually are. But if you want something fun to do with your girlfriends on a Saturday night this book has so many ideas everyone will find something in there they'd enjoy creating!

Awesome Book
This book has great projects for any level of crafter. The instructions are simple and easy to understand. It is a fun read too as the author has put some of himself into the book. I love it and enjoy just looking through it as well as making gorgeous gifts for family and friends.

Not for beginners.
I like the projects, but he could have gone more into detail about the problems one might have while actually completing the craft itself. For instance: the bubble stationary didn't turn out right even after attempting it several times, the baby doll's head paperweight did NOT dry after TWO weeks, and the book-page place mats aren't going very well, either. I feel a little let down, seeing as how I don't have the budget to seriously perfect these projects, and obviously, it's not for beginners.

Mark Montano is a crafting genius!
I just bought this masterpiece yesterday, and I would have to say that this book has everything you could possibly ever want for your home, office, outdoors etc. and its fun all around! The instructions are simple and very easy to understand, he provides plenty of pictures to demonstrate how to craft the item... I can't say enough about this. From the colored pencil vase to the fashion plates, from the night light boxes to the fabric wall panels...I would recommend this book for anyone who enjoys home decor and crafting, for beginners and the experienced. Im going to start off with the fabric covered table! Thanks Mark, finaly someone did it right!

The Big-Ass Book of Crafts
Not just 'another book of crafts'. So many great ideas and ways to recyle. I would find it hard to pick a favorite.
