Second time is the charm
I was given the first book in the series a few months ago and I know I gave it a so-so review. When I saw this book, I decided to try once again and see if I liked it better. I do, but I am not falling over myself trying to get the next installment. I know the series has been out a few years, but the story still is good. The main characters are picked up soon after the first book ends and they are all dealing with the stress of high school and trying to get into the best colleges and stuff. Brianna tries to do too much and she gets into serious trouble, if not for her friends in the drama club pulling her back. The rehersal scenes for the musical are funny and interesting to watch. The second book is way better in my opinion and is good for a nice quick read.

Here at Ridgeport High School, theater is everything. With tons of awards and the reputation of having Tony winners as alumni, every generation has to make sure that the momentum keeps going.

Brianna Glaser is proud to be co-president of the Drama Club. The drawback of having that position, though, is that it does take up a pretty good amount of her time. But Brianna can't let this effect her at all. She does, in fact, have to make time to study, choose a college, and try to be the top of her class while trying not to get lovestruck.

But since the Spring Musical is coming up, Brianna finds it hard to fit academics into her schedule. Especially since this year's musical will be the world-renowned Grease, one show everyone will want to be in.

Of course, from here on out, it isn't smooth sailing for Brianna. From accidents on the stage to some of the main performers having to drop out, it's bad enough that Brianna can't keep herself together, but will she be able to keep the musical together before opening night?

There's always drama in the DC!

Peter Lerangis keeps this new series going with THE BIG PRODUCTION. Fast-paced and very dramatic (of course!), readers who enjoyed the first book, THE FALL MUSICAL, will not want to miss this next one.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. The Big Production was FABULOUS!!! I love how it's set taking place with the Drama Club. That is SO cool. Harrison and Brianna are so awesome, being friends from babies, then falling in love...obviously!!! Brianna's whole thing was a bit weird but it's an alll in all great book! Was this review helpful?
