Another great book! I want Cooper! – Part of a series but no cliffhanger! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
I love books by Elle James/Myla Jackson and this one is no exception. A friend of Emma’s has created a new match-makiing program for her online dating service. The friend, Leslie, has convinced Cooper Johnson to give her service a try for free. If it works for him then he can pay her what he thinks it’s worth.
Emma was heartbroken when her fiance was killed-in-action and she’s not looking for a replacement. Leslie coaxes her into filling out a form for her new service. Emma agrees because she hopes to find a match that her brothers will hate and then they’ll get off her back about getting on with her life.
There are a few pretty steamy scenes between Cooper and Emma and quite a bit of electricity that Emma keeps trying to resist. This was a quick fun read, pretty much a standard category romance but I love to read those, especially ones that are well written like this one.
I’m looking forward to reading more stories in this series.

A hero who can't find a genuine woman who isn't solely interested in his money. A heroine who lost the soldier she loved and is afraid to love again. They've both been very reluctantly computer matched by a start-up dating service. He agreed to sign up as a favor to a friend who'd invested in the start-up company. She agreed to get her well-intentioned brother's off her back. They could be perfect together if he wasn't so jaded and she'd just let go of the past. This is an enjoyable read that was hard to put down. I hope the author follows up with stories about the heroine's over-protective brothers, the hero's friends, and the matchmaker, too, as there's lots of potential for an on-going series. Was this review helpful? Wow! Just wow! The same high quality I always expect from an Elle James novel. Great relatable characters, facing real life situations, staying strong, upholding integrity, living lives full of challenges.
No one actually looks for long-term relationships online, do they? But when their friends ask them to test a new online dating service, Cooper and Emma agree to give it a try, each for their own reasons. But only for a couple of dates. After that, they'll call it quits ... or will they?
I just wish the story was longer. I wasn't ready to leave the characters and their world even though the story was complete and the threads tied up. Elle James brings her story world alive so the reader is there with the characters living their experiences, their emotions, with all of one's senses actively engaged, whether cool water in the pond, sizzlin' crispy bacon, stringing fence wire between posts, or admiring bright stars overhead on a clear dark night.
I don't see any need to summarize the plot again. It is adequately described by the other reviews here.
Though self-published, the story is not lacking in any way. It meets the same high standards, the same high quality as other Elle James novels. Elle James at her best. Dedicated romance readers will not be disappointed with the Billionaire Husband Test.
I'm anxious for the next installment in this series

How do self-made billionaires find true love?
How do self-made billionaires find true love? They go through Leslie’s Billionaire Online Dating Club. Using personality, not financials, to find matches in couples, Leslie has staked everything she has on her business, and she is willing to use her best friends’ data to test the system. Was this review helpful? Emma Jacobs asked Leslie to set her up on a date with a desk jockey to get her brothers off her back about dating. She is just not ready for a hook up. Who want to move on after already finding their true love? It has been two years since he died in Afghanistan and she is still in mourning. What she was not prepared for was the instant way her body reacted to Cooper Johnson. Stock traders should NOT be able to haul hay.
Cooper Johnson enjoys his money through his 3,000-acre ranch. While finding someone to settle down with would be nice, it brings forth images of gold-diggers and paparazzi. He just wants the girl next door and finds it in Emma. It’s too bad she just wants a fake boyfriend and is in love with a dead man. Except he decides she is worth the risk and goes after the challenge.
This romance is special because the rich man is going after the woman who doesn’t want him. Sensual and humorous in nature, it is appropriate for most romance readers. Ella James provides the audience a roller coaster of emotional scenes that evoke empathy with Emma and Cooper. Character development is deep enough to want each of them to win, but not so immersive that the story is bogged down with useless information. While only 100 pages, the book is worth the time to read, especially since it is set up for additional billionaire bachelors to come.
Can true love happen twice in a lifetime? Can a stock trader be lucky enough to find a woman who wants him without knowing how much his portfolio is worth? Do cats have nine lives? Take the BILLIONAIRE HUSBAND TEST to see how Emma and Cooper score on the test that affects the rest of their lives.
