Proulx has contributed another outstanding work for the literary world!
Who hasn't been through a remodel on an existing house or the building a new "dream home!" Ms. Proulx exemplifies the ins and outs along with all the setbacks that are never figured in...but always happen! Yet through all of her effort(s) to maintain a positive attitude she manages to bring about a most astonishing description of what must be absolute and sheer beauty! Her property must be even more beautiful than her vivid descriptions of the wildlife contained within...or what migrates in and out with the seasons! But she always comes back to the basis of the writings and that is the ongoing construction of "Bird Cloud" as well as the upgrading of the property. Yet in the final chapter she admits that one's 'dream house' may actually be just that; a dream! Highly recommended reading! D. Bowden
