Birds of Minnesota Field Guide by Stan Tekiela

We live on a ravine and have bird feeders with different kinds of bird feed available. Therefore, we attract many different birds. One of the clerks at B & N. asked us if we went bird watching around the country or just in Minnesota. We are primarily back yard bird watchers. He recommended the above listed book. And, we are so very glad he did!!! The size of the book makes locating a specific bird in a hurry. They don't always stick around for five minutes waiting for you to identify them. Also, the arrangement of the birds by color makes finding them much easier. We truly suggest this book to Minnesota bird watchers.

    I Love This Book!!!

This book is the best! It has color tabs to help find your bird and it has little notes at the bottom of each page that says extra facts about birds!!!

Easiest book to identify local birds

This book in our house is used weekly. You can easily find the bird you are seeing by the color coded pages. Find the red tab for a bird that is mostly red, etc. It also shows you on the same page the colorings of the mate, male or female. It is small enough to stick it in your pocket, but has enough info for the casual bird watcher. We have 2 feeders and wanted a good book to keep by the window to tell us what was at our feeder. I am going to get his other bird book for Wisconsin, for my mom who just got a bird feeder and does not have a good book like ours. Awesome book, can't say enough.
