    Beautiful Photography, Interesting Facts

Winston Williams book has beautiful photography accompanied by many interesting facts. It's a great book for first time birders as well as more experienced ones. I have bought 3 more Winston Williams books since buying this one and have found them useful for identifying birds as well as insightful as to their behavior, their mythology and their history. From this book I learned how robins hunt for worms and why they stand on the lawn the way they do. (Read the book to find out!) These books make great gifts for those interested in birds without being overly technical.

    I use with my kids

This is by far the best book to look up up any bird in our yard. The pictures are exactly what the bird is that we are looking for, which makes it easier my children to find what they are looking for. I am now buying one for my neighbor.
