Great to reinforce learning of long and short vowel sounds.
This set is great because each cover says what vowel is presented. This gave my child added confidence when learning to sound out words. Each book also lists words for sounding out and words that do not follow the rules of the English language and are for sight memmorization. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Great for beginning readers
My 4 year old daughter loves the regular Biscuit books but are too long and difficult for her to read. These Biscuit phonics books are perfect for her. Short, well written. I love the review page before each story starts. It contains phonic words, sight words and fun words that will be in that story. I wish more books would do this for the little readers. I highly recommend for boys or girls. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

A must have for beginning readers!
I have been teaching my 3 year old how to read with this set. 7 months ago, she starting learning a couple of words a week and now can read most of these books independently. More than simply learning new words, her enthusiasm for reading and overall confidence have significantly improved. It has also been an excellent way to reserve 15 minutes a day for quality family time. Her preschool teacher and daycare provider have asked me about this set, sharing them with others. Each book has about 6 sentences, which is perfect for short attention spans. The 12 books share many of the same sight words for repetition...and it's not the mind-numbing repetition found in Dick & Jane! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
