I was very excited to read this story because it was FREE and it had good ratings. But oh my lord it dragged on forever on what seems to be only one freaking point. I cant believe i read as far as i did.. it there was ever such a thing as description overload, this author managed to hit it head on. Im saddened because the story had very,VERY rich and intriguing mermaid greek mythology in the backdrop but it just didnt tie in well. In the end I was annoyed with the every freaking fleeting emotion, detailed to the last gasping breath, of the main character Abby and irritated to death with her love propect's bi-polar feelings towards her ( I like her... No, I lover her! Oh, why do I lover her? No, i dont love her... Yes I love her... Your'e the epitomy of evil! ) *sigh*

Finally, the story led to overdrawn climax that had been building up since very early on, with no subplots. I felt like I was throwing my hands up in the air yelling 'Oh, c'mon!!' at the turn of evrery friggin page. This one of the very few stories I've felt this compelled to speek, dare I say,ill of because i actually liked more than half-way then felt to dissappointed i couldnt finish. Obviously ALOT of people disagree. It is a better read than most free books though, I give the author that much.

Dont hate on my review.

    Interesting Concept

I liked the concept of the book but the writing style did not flow and I found it very hard to continue reading and keep interested in the story.

    Not worth my time

I started reading this book absoultelly convinced by the reviews, but it was really slow and dragged on. That's saying something too because I am easilly entertained by this genre. Not a good read, very disapointed.

    No thanks

I got to page 390 and had to stop. There aren't any characters worth liking and there is way too much internal dialogue. I thought the story idea was good, but I found myself disliking all the characters

    Not that good

I found multiple typos in a single chapter, and the main character is a bit of a Mary-Sue.

    Not so good

The writing style is painfully melodramatic, the plot is not well thought out, and the characters are poorly developed. Its very immature writing and its poorly edited. As a writer she needed to be more brutal with herself about what to keep and what to cut.

    Major Waste of time

I am extremely disappointed in this novel. I have loved the idea of mermaids forever!! But this book dragged on, the characters were depressing, EVERY ASPECT of this book was doom and gloom. After 400 pages in, i quit.

    Uhhh.......???????

What a waste of my time! They talk about the main part of the story, then they talk about something else that doesn't have to do with this situation, what does talkin about Brian's dad and stepdad and how messed up his ma looks have to do with whats going on?! Now does anyone here know how to return a book back to the nook store? Because that is what im going to do with this garbage of a book!!
