I have truly enjoyed this series---until now. The beginning was great then it quickly went into the Twilight Zone and not in a good way. I kept reading pages over to try and grasp what I wasn't understanding and it just got worse. I have no idea what these pages in mental insanity were supposed to be about. Was she reliving memories, dreaming or just on crack? I personally vote for the later because nothing made sense. Then the last few chapters are set back in reality, everything is explained and wrapped up. This series-ender could (should) have been a short story and cost a lot less. I am disappointed and feel cheated and betrayed. It is so disheartening to have a really good series end in such a demeaning way. It will take a lot of convincing and numerous good reviews for me to read this author again. Mr. Battis shame on you for allowing your great series to destroyed in one short book and for disappointing and deceiving your faithful readers!! If you haven't bought this book yet---don't. If you need to find out how the series ended, buy this book used or borrow someone elses and just read the last few chapters. You will get closure and you won't waste your money or time.

If you have read the series before, continue to read them.
This is just the latest book in a long series of books. It is mighty incomprehensible if you haven't read the previous books in the series. I had almost forgotten myself because they are only released once a year. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
Not badly written, just requires explanation if you don't remember the story line. The characters at this point are a bit on the bland side. Could have been better.
If you have read the books before, worth reading. Continues the story fairly well, but still a bit confusing.
