    exciting book

A friend of mine gave me this book as a gift. I opened it a month later not really sure what to expect. My favorite books are the ones I'm not expecting to be very good that end up on my "favorites" list. It immediatly grabbed me and kept me on the edge of my seat till the last word. I absolutely loved it!

    Great eye opener

This book is amazing!!!! it most definitely is a love letter from GOD. It teaches us that we have power in Christ for he said we were to do greater things than he did.

The Truth of what lies within.

This book has opened my eyes to the truth of the power that we can access at any time if we trust and believe wholeheartedly in the power of the Holy Spirit. This book has been inspired by God. It also reveals to us what so many of us are missing. It has taught me the importance of walking in the Kingdom of God. May we as the Body of Christ step out in faith and radically change this world in God's Power as Caleb did.

    I have found new hope

After reading this book, I can now find peace in my heart. After the death of my Son in 2005. He was 23 yrs old and a Marine. My heart will always be broken but I can look at His death with hope.
Thank you for the string of light

    Annointed book!

I had a hard time staying with this story because I felt there were several dry spots. But when the action was going, it had me rapidly flipping the pages. The descriptions of the services and the power of God had me in tears. For weeks afterward I marveled at the power of God. I feel this book has an annointing, and you will not be the same after reading it.

    Awesome!!!

This book is so refreshing! The story of Caleb brings to mind what all of us Christians in the Western world are missing. It gives a glimpse of how it will be when we meet our Savior face to face!!! I can't wait. An excellent and easy read and a MUST gift item for the holidays!

Seeing God Through The Eyes of a Child

Seeing God through the eyes of a child proves life changing and thought-provoking. Some other readers suggested I read an excerpt of Kirk Martin's new book at thegraveldrive.com. I since have read The Gravel Drive and was blown away, speechless. It is unforgivable for any parent not to read THE GRAVEL DRIVE! I look forward to more from Ted Dekker as well.

    Victorious Living is Possible!

I don't know co-author Ted Dekker, but I do know Bill Bright. He is a Christian who has 'walked the talk' more than most people I've known, which is refreshing in light of so many high-profile scandals among 'Christian leaders.' Although he is presently dying, he is determined to make the truths he has spent his life emphasizing 'reachable' to those of us who need to see those truths lived out right down where we live. 'Blessed Child' accomplishes this goal. If you want to learn (or re-learn) practical Christian truth on how to live a victorious Christian life in the context of a rivetting story line (mirroring some of Bright's own experiences with God), this book is for you. We're not talking just 'entertainment' here. This book can literally, if you practice the lessons learned, change your life!

This takes spirituality to the next level!

This young boy Caleb opened my eyes to the posibilities of faith. The power, faith and how it should be defined in every christian throughout their life. Faith has yet to become that strong in my regular life. The novel explains the reality that we can lose this faith in mortal things (tv, music, worldly things). As an innocent child faith can be so easily understood to be that simple, in just asking Jesus, and that it will be given. I have come to realizing that we all need encouagment to become a little closer to our heavenliy Father. I hope that you (yes you) would just read a page a day. That is how I asked my Mom to start. I spent New Years reading this nail-biting, and on the egde of the world expirence! A novel to remember!!!! WOW!!!! =)

    Blessed Child

Seldom does a book come along that could be called life-changing, but Blessed Child is such a book. It's that powerful. What it did is rewire my whole naturalistic mindset. I challenge anyone to read this and NOT be convinced of the reality of the supernatural world. But it's a lot more than that. It's also a nail-biting thriller, a touching love story, and a mind-blowing Christian apologetic. Caleb (the Blessed Child), Jason (his protector), and Leiah (Jason's love interest) are all memorable, engrossing characters. The bad guys are really bad. Everything works. What more could you want?

    Blessed Child

That's right. If you're eating a meal while surfing the net, quit eating and buy this book NOW. If you don't have an account with B&N, get one. If you don't like to order over the net, go out to your local bookstore. If they don't have it, have them order it. Trust me on this. You won't be disappointed. Why? Because this may be the most impactful Christian novel ever written. First of all, the storyline is killer. It concerns a young boy blessed with miraculous powers and what happens to him when some unscrupulous people get their hands on him. Second, there's a great love story between Jason, a burned-out do-gooder, and Leiah, a Canadian nurse with her own problematic background. How they finally work things out makes for great reading. Third, there's an incredible spiritual impact--perhaps the most powerful one I've ever read in a novel. This author is really coming on strong. He could very likely take the place of Jenkins & LaHay and Frank Peretti as THE heavyweight Christian writer of his generation. Rumor has it that there's a movie in the works. So, like I said, Drop everything. Why delay? Why not get in on the ground floor?

    Dekker's done it again

I've read three books by this author, Ted Dekker and would like to know if he has any others. AS far as I'm concerned, no one in the genre compares to this guy. Bill Bright co-authored this novel, but Dekker's style is strongly evident through out and a note up front tells us that he wrote the story. Heaven's Wager made me bite my nails off, When Heaven Weeps made me cry, and Blessed Child made me drop to my knees. What a powerful picture of spirituality. One complaint -- my copy was missing two pages!
