Very moving, inspiring biography!
Mother Teresa is widely recognized as one of the most inspiring and best-loved figures of the 20th century. Around the age of 18, she joined the Irish order of the Sisters of Loreto and, in 1950, founded her own order, the Missionaries of Charity, whose work was to provide 'free service to the poor and unwanted, irrespective of caste, creed, nationality or race'. She firmly believed that there could not be any worship more sublime than the service of humanity, and in 1970 she was awarded the Nobel Peace prize for her work. The author of this biography, who spent many hours with Mother Teresa, follows her life from her childhood in Albania, via Dublin, to the streets of Calcutta. This biography is a translation from the original version in Malayalam which has garnered multiple awards in India. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
