Where's the punctuation?
The Nook version of this book is virtually unreadable! On the first three pages alone there are several instances of "Hell" that should be "He'll" and any number of missing quote marks and commas. I skipped forward several pages to see if it got better and was dismayed to find that it hadn't. I thought I was reading a book by Ricky Ricardo instead of Patrick McManus for all the didnt's in the book. It's a shame because I read, and enjoyed, another Bo Tully story in paperback form. Can I get a refund?

recommended but......
Patrick McManus is one of my favorite writers for tongue-in-cheek humor writing. Whoever oversaw the transfer of this book to e-book apparently never proofed the final cut. No ' or " marks to be found which does make it a little difficult to read/understand. I purchased it originally in paperback and thoroughly enjoyed it and wanted to add it to my permanent e-book library - "silly me". If you can get pass the no " marks and hell (he'll) wed (we'd) hes (he's), etc. then it is worth the download. IT IS a good read just a better read with " and ' where they belong.

Formatting Issues
I am mainly writing this to bring to light an issue with the formatting of the eBook version of this. It seems my copy is completely void of quotation marks and apostrophes. At first I thought it was a stylistic choice, not to included quotation marks for dialogue but then I noticed the missing " ' marks where theyre(sic) required. I usually hate comments like this in review areas but I wanted to let it be known if anyone else has this issue. I'm 20 pages from finishing and still suffering from it.

'The Blight Way' done the Right way
'The Blight Way' is an absolutely wonderful read! McManus uses his famous (and sometimes infamous) wit to lead the reader through a maze of mystery and intrigue, which he presents in a very lighthearted and down-home style. Bo Tully is the epitome of the rural sherriff: bungling, self -possessed, and not always overly concerned with the legalaity of his actions. And yet, he may just have a little more going on upstairs than one would guess at first glance. If you've ever lived in a rural area, you'll recognize all the characters, and yet they are done in a fresh light. A must read for fans of McManus!

A fun read.
I enjoyed McManus's Blight way. I liked the characters alot. It was a good story, a bit predictable. It was fun to read and will continue the series.
